Adaptions of Soccer Laws

If you are new to coaching soccer, we offer extensive coach training. As a matter of fact, we require all of our coaches, new and returning, to attend at least one coach training every season. In addition, new coaches are required take Safe Haven which teaches coaches how to safely work with other people's children. We strive to provide top quality training that is interesting and valuable to our coaches. In the last two years, training sessions have been conducted by our in-house Advanced Coaching staff, University of Oregon Soccer coaches, Oregon Youth Soccer Association coaches, U.K. International Soccer coaches and AYSO National coaches. Our training is not "one size fits all". We offer training sessions that are age appropriate for the division that you are coaching. As a result of our training program, all Eugene AYSO coaches receive National Certification.

Joel has coached with Eugene AYSO for seven years. He has been certified by AYSO National as an Advanced Coach and Coach Trainer. Joel also holds a USSoccer National Coach license.
